Hello,
Like Thaz mentioned over here, the game got a new server admin. So here we go.
I'm Dravere, like you can see on the left. Thaz has assigned me the task to maintain the server and keep it up running. I'm from the same country and even studying at the same university. I have a Bachelor in Computer Science and I'm currently on the way to my Master in Engineering in ICT. Next to my studies I'm also working as a research assistant at my university.
From what I can tell until now, the server isn't in a great shape at the moment. I think there's a lot of work ahead of me. In addition there are some things in the pipeline that Thaz and I have discussed and even created. We will try to push those things out over the next months.
But first there will be a maintenance shutdown of the server in the near future. We will provide you with additional information about this through the ingame news soon.
In addition to maintaining the server I will also try to help out Thaz in the code a little bit. Perhaps fix some bugs. Or add new features? We will see.

Due to recent issues it has become necessary to remind members the need for account security.
Make sure your account is secure, by making sure your password is secure.
NewBeware of offers of "free" or otherwise used accounts. You will be given the username and password of that account as an offer to you from someone who does not wish to play anymore. This activity and it's acceptance is not allowed, and taking ownership will result in a permanent ban on it and your original account for multi accounts. Just like an unexploded bomb, do not touch it. Report the activity instead and do not log into the offered account.
Please be advised that phishing scams continue in the game by third parties offering free resources and items in exchange for your account information. We are doing our very best to keep this activity at bay and the people who are involved in them out. If you receive a PM containing a link to a form to fill out in order to receive "free" items or resources, please report it immediately. If you receive one on the forum for the same reason, make a copy of it and send it to a moderator. DO NOT FILL OUT THE FORM!!! Filling out the form with your information gives your account to a third party, and they do not intend to do any good with it.
Remember, any and all freebies are provided by DragonAdopters [DOT] com, not by any third party. Never will DragonAdopters [DOT] com nor it's staff ask you for your login information to receive resources or items.
Recently we had problems with user’s accounts logging out randomly. Well it seems it’s not random, spam bots are trying to access random accounts by using random passwords, they’re practically guessing them. After several failed logins, the forum is designed to logout the user, this is why users have been logging out. Forum error logs also indicate that frequently attacked accounts are those of admins and mods, which is not surprising. It would be recommended that all mods change their passwords just in case.
In the meantime, we will try to find some SMF modifications that will help protect from these attacks, because SMF software has been frequently targeted by spam bots, so it’s not just our site. In case this doesn’t work, we will ban as many spam bot IP addresses as we can, since we do have them recorded in our forum logs.
Passwords are important, and help keep your account safe and secure. If someone finds/guesses your password they can do a lot of damage IN YOUR NAME!
How to create a good password:
Make sure your password is long enough, it should be at least 8 characters or longer
Create a unique password, don’t use the same password on other sites
Don’t use your username as a password, this is one of the first things someone will try
Don’t use your real or pets name, these are other obvious choices
Use a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols
Other important points to remember:
Never give out your password.
Always log out of your account before you leave the computer.
Making regular password changes is good etiquette.
This does not have to be every day/week, but changing your password once in a while helps keep your password from getting into the wrong hands.
How to change your current password:
Go to "Profile" - "Modify Profile" - "Account Settings"
Fill in your new password where it asks for:
Choose password
Verify password
Then fill in:
Current Password
click "change Profile"
Do not give out your password to anybody. Don't even provide it on those fake sites that offer free items for the game. These spams are scams If you give your password on these sites, the site owners will gain access to your accounts, and steal all of your resources by transferring them into their accounts.
We do not sanction the offers of free items by other players. Any and all free items will be made available exclusively by the game, whether through contests, quizzes, or "easter eggs" and they are only given out officially. Staff does not even need your password in order to award these items. Any and all free items offers that you receive that are not official announcements are to be reported so this problem can be dealt with.
