She frowned and the smile shrank a little bit, her eyes growing slightly. " i knew i'd scare you....no..no sick lady isn't me..im like you. She pointed to COnner with that long needle finger almost pricking him." im a demi-god..i..." She started laughing, doubling over and her fingers returned to the right size, the smile too but still full of sharp teeth. Harlequins eyes remained dots. " Everyone burns..white walls , white celiings.. no..wrong colour..wrong!" She stopped laughing and looked at the blue haired girl, eyes now normal size but still swirling colours. "Pretty girl..have you seen the sick lady?" Her height shifted, bones shrinking till she was the height of a ten year old. Harlequins hair no longer flowed to her back but was cut to her shoulders, the blue strands on the cracking ground. She looked like a ten year old child,but with knife teeth. |

"No? you haven't?....no one ever see's her...she doesn't like me.I used to run with the ugly girl..but she slit her wrists with the glass box..no more running for us.." With her tiny fists, child Harlequin hit her forehead over and over harder with each hit. "Stupid!...stupid! she left me..we all leave..we go to the white walls because the sick ladys loves her jewels..." The dress that used to fit her body perfectly now had rips from being to streched but it now sagged on her,covering her feet.She contunued to hit herself."no stars, no one gets to have them.." she let out a shrill squeal of laughter."no one likes me....everyone gets so tired" she said between giggles, still pounding her head. |

Conner rushed forward and grabed hre hand, pinning it against his chest as he kneeled infront of her. "Your not stupid. Har listen to me. Stop hurting yourself. Its okay..Evrythings okay." he pulled her closer and wrappe his arms around her protectivly.

Her laughter cut off and when she spoke next she sounded like the first Harlequin Conner had met, but was still out of her mind."I want to hurt you Conner...hurt you for giving me hope and trusting the rotten child...i like blood...so bright on the white floors...bright bright colours." She placed her free hand flat against his chest as her finger nails grew and curled piercing his shirt but not the skin."Nothings okay...still bodies, sick lady, ugly girl...do you want to watch the world burn with me?...oh..Conner....I dont want to come back...its going to hurt....hmm..pain..did i tell you i like blood?...so bright on the white walls...." she dug slightly into his skin breaking his flesh but not deep enough for blood to spill."why doesn't anyone stop me?"she whispered |
