Conner stareed at him for a minute more before hastily turning back to the road, avoiding a mini van. "Having you around may have more use than just company..." he mused to himself. "Though your comapny is great as well" he promised him. "Thank you" Conner made a wide -and very illegal_ U-turn and begain again staring intently at the road.

A secret smirk spread across his face as he inclinced his head in Conners direction " Glad you've alreadly accepted that im coming with you. Most would try to do some silly thing like try to get me not to come with them. Its absurd." The emerald green swirling in his eyes churned darker then lighter shifting to an icy blue shade. Harlequins hands gripped his windows ledge when Conner made the u-turn. He hasn't had the best experiences in cars before. With the bluntness that was Harlequin he turned to him and said " So what is your plan? Stalk close enough so that you may catch brief glances of him but not close enough so that he'll notice you? Im telling you right now that wont be easy. Hes a child of rome and you have only seen a fraction of his power....." Even though Harelquin was somewhat ignorant to others feelings-however she was learning- he was careful not to say Damons name.

"The plan," he started. "Is to yes watch him, but not from afar. As you guessed i dont plan on really speaking to him. not as Conner anyway." He smirked. Damon knew alot of his past, but he did not know of his ability to disguise himself. he'd fooled professionals way back when. and if he was capable of that, he was capable of this. "Not at first I will watch him, and learn his ways of travel and so on...but then, I will introduce him to his new boyfriend. Or best friend if he desides." Conner sid glaring. "And his new 'bestfriend'...is a young man i like to call, Jace." (shutup) Conner glanced at Harliquin. "Object? well it doesnt matter if you do. you cant stop me. But i am open to your opinion." He sighed not wanting to offend her.

[shadow=black,left,400].:Way Out In The Water, See It Swimming. Where Is My Mind?:. [/shadow][/b] The car was silent for a few heart beats-save for hum of the engine and the wind rushing past and into the open windows- when Harlequin tired, unsuccessfully from keeping her self from laughing. Her cries of mirth erupted from her soft pale lips, giggles filling the car. The man Harlequin doubled over once again, holding his shaking his body as joyous tears slithered from his eyes. He could feel Conner's gaze on him and could almost hear the thoughts bounding about in his head. He assumed it must have been along the lines of; She has lost her mind..again. Harlequin then straightened up, a laugh escaping from his lips every now and again. While swiping tears from his eyes-it's shade a too familiar blue- he said: " You are going to try to disguise yourself in the hopes of fooling him? " voice amused and incredulous " Unless you have recently developed my ability- which I severely advise against- there is no way in Heck that you'll be able to pull the wool over his eyes." He fixed his ice blue eyes on Conner." Just because you could dye your hair, and even take that piercing from out of your face, Heck you could even change your entire dressing style, he will know who you are." "Thats where your wrong. Damon knows me. Knows me so well." he choked on his name but continued. "And because he guesses every little thing that i do...I'm justngoing to have to go back to the things he didnt know. the me he didn't know. and oh Harl..i will do so much more than die my hair...have i ever told you, i used to be a criminal? not a large one, but one smart enough to fool alot of people." Conner sighed, looking into his eyes (her?) and haveing to hold back his gasp. he kept his eyes from narrowing. "Damon may knwo me now, but he never knew me then. the me full of hatred. the me that still exists."

He raised and eyebrow at Conner, doubting his plan. Even so he said." I'm not going to stop you, lover boy, and perhaps i could even give you some tips about disguise." Harlequin caught his relection in Conner's eyes-even if it was just for a moment, and saw whos eyes he had taken. Swiftly their colour shifted, a deep violet surrounding the pupil , circled by a ring of silver. Harlequin then sighed and the sound of bones snapping and poppiong echoced in the car as her body returned to female. She kept the dragon tattoo on her arm and made no move to cover her bare chest. Harlequin wasn't shy with naked flesh, nor did she think Conner would look with anything other then a apathic flicker of eyes. "I hope you know what you've gotten yourself into.."

She held his gaze until he turned back to th road- a good thing when he did or else they would have plowed right into a SUV. the driver of said van seemed to have fallen asleep on their nhorn, but the steady stream of curses that flew into their trucks window reasured Harlequin they were wide awake. Her hand flickered to the radio knob, turing the station onto 89.x a alt. rock one. This Time It's Different by Evans Blue was currently pouring from the trucks speakers at low voloume."So," she began."How are you even going to locate him in the first place? I only know the direction he started with. If you want to find him you may have to invest in a bloodhoud, or some sort of sharp nosed animal."

he shook his head. "I'll be fine. I know Damon....I have a feeling as to where he might have gone."

She gave a sigh of defeat but then a wide smile pulled up her lips. " I do love road trips." Harlequins pale fingers switched back to the radio knob but instead of changing the station she just turned the volume up. Heavy Weight, by Our Lady Peace, blared in the car, streaming out the windows leaving behind trails of music. Damon~~ His mind was off. Nothing but a startling blackness and blankness consumed his head, keeping his mind sane. If he thought about where he was going, or what he was leaving behind Damon would never be able to take another step. He had left him , and it was almost impossible to do so. It was only a few short hours before his departure that he was fighting to keep him by his side, but it was Damon's fault that what had happened, happened. He was the one who couldn't protect him. He was the one who enraged Adara and fled so that someone else would face her wrath. He was the one who left Conn-Damon's own mind chocked on his name and he stopped in his slow walk through the back alleys of a small city he had chanced upon in his flight. Only the Gods knew the town he was in, he wasn't exactly paying attention to where he was heading. Damon shook his skull, the ebony hair swishing back and forth. His pale fist curled at his side , his other hand gripping the shoulder strap of his backpack more tightly, the skin going even whiter around the bones in his knuckles. //There was no other option...// He thought, trying to give himself some form of reassurance. //Stop it! // Damon mentally slapped himself. //You knew very well what would happen if you left and there's no need to have a pity party. You can do that later. Right now you have to keep moving. Keeping running from your past like you always done.// It was all that he knew. Damon picked up his feet and stalked forward, his long legs striding across the broken concrete with a natural grace, the golden sun zeroing in on his dark hair and black apparel. He then left the labyrinth of back alleys and onto a less dreary sidewalk, traffic whizzing by on a moderately busy street. Damon felt it then, the old burn of constant brutality coursing through his veins. A feeling he had numbed then stilled. It was a feeling of anarchical rage and strength that made him walk a bit taller and added a wicked sparkle to his icy eyes. Damon knew that this was a dangerous thing to have return, more so now that he had his blush under control, he also knew that he felt this way because of his roots, of what time he had essentially come from. He welcomed the savage Roman inside with a cracked smile glad to have found the trail back to his old ways, ones that he swore he’d never take again. But Damon had made those vows to himself upon his heart and since- even in a metaphorical sense-he was now without one, all bets were off. Damon caught a glimpse of himself in the bay window of a store and paused staring at the reflection. Purple rings surrounded his eyes, darkened even more by the smudged eyeliner he had been wearing, his lip and eyebrow piercing glimmering in the suns rays. Frowning Damon turned away from himself and entered the store- a Café actually- and strode into their one person bathroom locking the door. // I don’t need nor want to be noticed, for once I wish to conform and be lost in the sea of faces.// He thought as he once again gazed at himself in the mirror. He sighed , placing his backpack on the counter and unscrewed the balls for his eyebrow ring then did the same for his lip. After putting away the bars of metal he gave a quick look at the holes in his skin then turned on the water faucet , scrubbing his face clean, all signs of makeup gone. Damon then removed all his bracelets- save for one- putting them away too. Still not satisfied that he would blend in, he rummaged around in his backpack producing normal blue jeans and a green Areopostal t-shirt- why he had such a thing was a mystery to him- and switched it for the garments he wore. To the mortal eye he looked like any normal ‘preppie’ teenage boy, but to ones not so human Damon still held that appearance but with a deadly sword slung over his back and a somewhat sinister light dancing in his eyes. // For now this will just have to do.// And with those thoughts he exited the washroom but instead of leaving the Café he ordered a black coffee and sat at a table near the back corner of the small building. xXxHarlequinxXx Harlequin placed her arm onto the edge of the open window, resting her head in the crook of it. She breathed in deeply squishing her eyes tightly shut trying to battle the urge to change. Trying to turn away the crazy. The black snake tattoo shimmered and came to life, crawling up her arm then down her torso where it circled itself around her navel. The itch to shift numbed slightly and her breath exhaled slowly. “Coffee. I need caffeine.” She mumbled against her skin. Harlequin raised her head then rummaged around in truck, looking in the consol. With a sound of triumph she held up a stack of bills. “ Way to pick cars, Conner boy.” She teased. “ Go find a costume store or whatever so I can get clothes and we can get you a new you.”
