"Honey. I know this is sudden, but, Steve isn't your father. Hades's is though."
"Mother. I know of no Hades. Who is this man?"
"A Greek god.Remember Hades? Ruler of the underworld?"
"Ya, but he is a myth."
"No, he isn't, love. They are real. You are a demi-god - half human.... half god."
"But..... Mo--"
"You'll learn everything soon. Remember, Cloud went to a camp? You're going there too."
"Wait. We are talking about the same Cloud, right?"
"If it is Cloud Strife, your best friend, Xemu."
"But he isn't a demi-god..... Isn't he?"
"Yes. Son of Ares. Same with his twin."
A black-haired boy replayed the scene a million times as he approached the camp. His mother telling him who his real father was. Her driving him here. He wasn't sure whether to be proud of his heritage or not.
Hades, ruler of the underworld. His father. That was a lot to take in over one conversation on the way to camp. And Cloud? A son of Ares? The god of war? Come on...
The boy saw a motorcycle as he entered and shook his head, chuckling. He was wrong, but still. Cloud didn't look like an Ares's kid. "So... Cloud's here.... Aye... Now were to find him." he muttered to himself.
He jumped as someone tapped his shoulder. He looked back and saw a face he recognized. He could have swore he sighed really loud, but the boy acted as if he didn't here him.
'Who are you looking for?' the new boy signed with his hands to the black-haired boy as he smiled.
"You." The black-haired boy grumbled. "Hey, Cloud. How are you?"
'I'm good. So you are a demi-god? Who is your parent?' Cloud signed.
"Yep...." the boy said, answering the first question. The second froze him. Should he lie or tell Cloud the truth? He chose to lie to his best friend. "I don't know who my parent is."
Cloud gave him a stern look, like he always did when the other boy lied. 'We'll have to find out then, won't we?' he signed as he softened his look.
"Aye.... We will." the boy said, giving another sigh of relief.
'Come meet my siblings.' Cloud signed, turning.
"Cloud...." the boy grumbled, but followed when he realized Cloud was ignoring him.
Cloud led the boy through the cabins until they reached the Ares. 'Here is my cabin. Come on in. Don't be afraid.' he signed before going in and sitting on a bed.
The boy gave Cloud an annoyed look before following. |

Sernity who was walking by, spotted Cloud with another new face. 'thats like four this wek' she thought a little smugly. She headed toward them to welcome then as her job here told her to do. As a year rounder she needed somthing to do. "Hey Cloud." she said as she neared them She had had Vald taech her some signing so she could at least somewhat unerstand. She didn't want him always haveing to talk through his cell.

Cloud nodded. 'Hello.' he signed.
The boy sighed. He looked at Cloud.
'Ask her yourself.' Cloud signed, looking at his friend.
The boy grumbled something. "Aye. You are right. Cloud." he said before looking at Serenity. "Hello. I am Xemu, my I ask who you are?" |

Serenity watched their samll agrument in silence. Then answered his question. "It's nice to meet You." she said somewhat fromal, not yet used to greeting people. "I'm Serenity, daughter of Posiden. I assume you know Cloud from elswhere?" she questioned. Then added; "Do you yet know who your Olimpain partent is?"

"Aye. Cloud moved into my neighbor hood some time ago." Xemu said. He froze. Again. The choice lay in front of him again. Lie or tell the truth. Again, he choose to lie. "No. Sorry." he said smoothly.
Cloud stayed silent for some time. |

She staered at him curously, noticing how he frooze when she metioned his parent. 'Your sure? Absoulutly no idea?" she tested him.

Kayne was walking in the cabin calmly and stopped. "Hey Serenity, Cloud." He said in a soft voice, his voice not done returning to him fully.

Serenity who hadn't notcied him walk up jumped. "Oh..Hey Kayne. Your voice is almost back!" she pointed out happily. Remebering that he had told her-well sort of...gave her look that said it is more like it.- what was bothering him the other night.

Serenity was dissipointed but didn't push. She could tell he was lieing but she didn't know why. it was alway easyer once you knew just who it was....
