"Just a few days ago. Mom…" She trails off, not wanting to say it, because to say it would make it true, would make it definite. Her shoulders slump, and she looks down.

"Skye, I'm so sorry. I couldn't… I couldn't save her in time." Her eyes well with tears, and she swallows hard to keep them down. Taking a deep breath, she says quickly, "You remember her boyfriend, that Italian mafia boss? Well, she caught him cheating. She was going to break up with him, or something, but he… He planted a bomb. In her food. I don't know how, or how he got it, but she ate it. She exploded." Ana breaks down, unable to say another coherent word. The tears flow freely down her face.

"A bomb." she manages to choke out, then crumples to the ground. She leans against the wall of the cabin and sobs.
