Sammi's eyes looked all around her, at every detail of the forest. It seemed like everything was visually enhanced, yet defocused. One of the side effects. Her brain picked up major details, like if there was a tree root in front of her, or a chipmunk under her foot, but it didn't recognize the minor details such as a little shadow or an individual blade of grass.
She stumbled and sighed, falling to the ground on her bottom. She leaned against a tree and thought for a moment. She opened her eyes to see a squirrel running up a tree nearby. A jupiter berry bush was next to the tree Sammi sat by. Sammi grumbled and crushed a few dead leaves in her hands.
"I wonder when I'll get a weapon?" she thought out loud. Then her stomach growled. "Or, even, when dinner is." She began to wander through the forest again.
