Ser had her arm around Kayne to hold his weight while she half towed him into the infirmery onto a cot. "Here ya go." she said letting go.

Kayne flinched slightly as he sat down. He touched the back of his head and felt something sticky in his hair. He looked at his hand and saw some blood. He sighed heavily and looked at Serenity with sorry eyes. "Hey im sorry for what happened back there...." He said looking at his arm which got hit by two different arrow.

"They weren't normal water creatures... Those where shape shifters.... You wouldn't have known...." He said calmly closing his eyes. He muttered something under his breath and clenched his hands tightly around the corner of the bed.

Serenity gentaly sat next him.
"Thank you" she said sincerily. She soflty placed her hand on his arm.

Kayne glanced at Serenity's hand then locked eyes with her. "For what?" He asked with a gentle voice. His hands where still clenched around the edge of the bed tightly but his arm was relaxed.

She smiled. "For saving me" It sound corny and she knew it, but it was true. Her eyes didn't move from his.

"It was nothing... I didn't want you to get hurt..." He said smiling at her warmly. His hands finally relaxed and let go of the edge of the bed. He looked away at looked at the wall trying to think clearly but his head was pounding hard and he shook his head. He flinched slightly and sighed softly.
