Re: Rule 1.2, WOW. Wow, wow, wow. That is one of the most draconian (no pun intended) multi-account rules I've ever seen on a game site. And I've played on dozens and dozens of game sites from the time I was ever on the computer 15 years ago.
I completely understand why you must prevent us from having multis, but I think that from a business perspective- assuming you want this site to grow eventually and become popular with a large group of people- that you are going about this entirely the wrong way. Any website programmer/owner/team member MUST understand how IP addresses work and yet that rule suggests that you have no knowledge whatsoever on the topic. The possibility of punishing players who live in group housing, or who use dynamic IP addresses, is absolutely ridiculous. You will lose countless players by permabanning every person who has a similar IP simply by chance or location.
Personally I cannot see why you are so worried about multis to begin with. The site is off to a great start, but it has absolutely no content that makes creating multiple accounts worthwhile. There are no games to transfer money, no immense resource sources that would warrant cheating, no real need to have 2 or 3 dragons at this point. Unless there is some super-amazing money system or game that would benefit from cheating that is coming up in the near future, this whole shebang seems to be way out of proportion.
Instead of looking simply at IPs, you should look at account activity. That does not take much effort at all and in fact, it will take LESS effort to perform a 5 minute follow-up investigation of any similar IPs (do the accounts transfer money? Do they repeatedly sign on/off right after another?) than it would take to listen to complaint emails from wrongly-banned players who are attempting to get their accounts back.
Furthermore, the haughty, holier-than-thou attitude displayed by the staff in this board in particular is frightening. Any game site is meant to be fun, and I would hope that staff enjoy running it, afterall, what's the point? But with this attitude you are sure to frighten players away and alienate the very people that could one day fund this site should you ever need it.
Just my two cents.
