Kayne closed his eyes and flinched slightly when she held his arms. He said nothing and didn't look at her. He tried to clear his mind as best he could and calm down.
Zack watched them and sighed softly. He walked over to his shoes and picked up his jacket and put it on as he slipped his shoes on. He walked over to them. "Kay.. Listen to Serenity.. I did nothing to her and i will never do it.. You know i don't like any one.. Serenity and i are just friends.." He said before sighing heavily. "I'll see you guys around... Sorry Serenity. i shouldm't have done that.." He said before walking off, leaving Kayne and Serenity at the lake.

"It's fine Zack, you didn't do any thing wrong. You helped me." She shook her head. "Kayne. Listen to me, please!" her voice caught, and she looked down, "Please Kayne. you have to believe me!"

Kayne moved closer to Serenity and hugged her, pulling her close to him. "I'm sorry... I... I shouldn't have been like that..." He said in a soft voice, his eyes still closed. "I'm a jerk..." He sighed heavily.

she shook her head again. "your not. You just jumped to conclusions. But Zack is your friend, you should know he wouln't do that. and you know you can trust me." she smiled

Kayne looked at her and smiled a little. "I normally don't jump to conclusion like that..." He said putting a hand to his head and closing his eyes again. He looked more tired then he ever did before and he shook his head trying to clear it.

She nodded understand, the remembered somthing. "Hey, didn't you say you had somthing to ask me?"

"Ya thats right i did..." Kayne said before looking at her. "well... I was wondering if... You wanted to go on a date, with me tomorrow night?" He said seeming a little nervous. He looked into her eyes with soft kind eyes.

her face slushed pink, and she tucked her now short blonde hair behind her ear but bacause it was so short it fell back out. "Yeah. That'd be great" she said in a suprisingly steady voice

He smiled happily at her and nodded. "Great. What time do you want me to come by your cabin to get you?" He said calmly.
