Soon her smiled fadded as a tear fell from her green eyes. She pulled her hand away from Jamies' and made fists of both, pushing them into her lap. Her shoulders were quivering, but she didn't break down again. The shock was gone, replaced with agony. Her sister. The closest friend she'd ever had. Dead. Gone. Shania couldn't bring herself to focas on the small chance she would return. her mind wouldn't let her.

Zemira crossed the room and put a hand on her shaking shoulder,tears of her own falling.
"she's comming back.There's no doubt in that."
but he might not be...she took a in a deep breath forcing down the emotions that threatened to take over her any moment.

Jamie looked at Shania when she took her hand away. He watched her hands for a second. "Shania.. It's gonna be okay..." he said, glancing a Zemira. He could tell she wasn't exactly crying for Serenity. It was someone else she was crying for. He looked in Shania's eyes.

Shania looked back at him, aware of Zemira. She smiffed and let out a long breath.
"So much for meeting my family." She wispered sadly.

Jamie nodded slightly. "I'm sure we can see her again some day. She'll never be truly dead as long as you hold her in your heart." he said.

She nodded slightly then wiped her hands down her face.
"Okay. Thank you Zemira, for telling us." She said standing. "That's all I needed to know." She headed toward the door then waited for Jamie.

She stepped out to the portch, her face set and ridgid. her eyes were hard and empty rather then open and soft. She didn't say anything as she went down the steps
