Neil looked at Vee affectionately. They had been in high school together-Or at least, freshman yesr- And almost all of the guys had liked her. Nei included. He just couldn't believe that she was here.

I scratched my neck as I saw him stare at me. Why was this dude so familer? I asked myself. I stood up, at least Griffith didn't see this.

He noticed that she saw him look at her. He stood up, went over to the counter and bought a root beer. The counter ladt whispered to him when Vee wasn't looking. "Get her a present. It always works when me and my boyfriend havea fight." Neil looked at her in shock. Then he pulled himself together.,"No-" The girl had already walked awway. Neil sat down with his root beer.

Griffith and Vee had completely lost their 'spark' He reall just wanted to break up with her and geto on with his life. He walked over to Vee and asked to talk to her. He looked at her with a sadness in his eyes. "I'm so sorry. But, I--- We have lost our spark. I am breaking up with you." And with that Griffith left the building and drove as fast as he could to anywhere that was far away.

I just stood there, ignoring the pt in my stomach. So, that's what it's like to be dumped. I thought. I waved bye to Ciera and Neil and left.
