Wed trust eachother not to be with other people but we can never be with eachother." She sobed. "8 don't want that for us. A relationship of pain. Damon....either take me with you when you go or......" he took a gulp of air and sobbed out the rest. "Or end this before you go."

Gods he hated this.Hated it so much.But he'd rather Conner be safe and without him then dead. He couldn't come with him to the Roman camp and he just couldn't take the risk.Damon walked to the wall Conner had pressed himself up against took his hand andplaced it on Damons chest,right over his heart." I'll love you forever Conner."He leaned forward an inch from Conner's face,lips almost touching.

Conners tears stoped as he held them back. He wanted to look brave. Had to. He closed the inch between them, kissing Damon with all he had. pulling away, he gripped Damons shirt with the hand over his chest.

Damon smiled weaky and gave a small shake of his head.He took Conners hand and led him to the small bed. He crawled ont to bed pulling COnner wit him so that Conner's head rested on his chest.Damon incircled his arms around his waist,his hands rested loosely on Conner's hips.He placed his cheek on the top of his head and spoked softly.
"Im sorry , Conner"

Damon smirked and was quiet hearing the double meaning in his words.He wanted to go somewhere else,to fall in COnner's arms and never gt back up again, but he knew that if that were to happen we wouldn't be able to leave him when the sun came up. It was going to be hard enough to leave him in the morning withoutadding that into the mix.
"Yes im sure...you need to rest."Damon tightend his arms around him for a second."Isn't this enough? for now?"
