Damon kissed him back earnestly,a little bit of desperation leaking into it.He rethought Conner's eailer suggestion to go somewhere but knew it was a bad idea. A reaaally good, bad idea.He gasped catching his breath,hands gripping Connner.Slowly his hands relaxed as did his lips, the kiss becoming soft and sweet.He pressed his lips once,twice thena third time more before leaning his head back.He lethis body relax against Conners,getting comfortable.
"I'll never forget you"Damon said softly, eyes which opened during the kiss ,fluttered closed.

the lights turned off and soon enough Damon joined Conner in a slumber. ~~ His rest was uneasy,his mind unable to sleep-tired as it was,so he woke up early. The sun hadn't even risen yet when he gently slid Conner off his body and quietly stood up ,staring at him. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps....He then gently pressed his lips to his then stood up straight.Damon turned his back to Conner and walked out of the infirmary-not before placing a letter on a near by table. It read: Dear My Love, Conner.
I'm Sorry..for this, for everything. For accusing you of being unfaithful,for getting hurt and angry at your actions-ones that you couldn't control. For my own uncontrolled actions that led to this goodbye...I'm sorry for breaking my promise to never leave you.... I also apologize for not waking you up this morning but i knew that if i did i wouldn't be able to leave,at least without you..and if i could, i wont have you following me. I have no right to ask you this but please..promise me you'll be safe. Promise me that you wont go off on some stupid quest to locate me..i wouldn't feel right knowing you'd be out there alone looking for me. Please just stay safe..i have one more thing to ask..well not so much as ask but to tell you something that i hope you will keep in mind: you don't have to love me forever..just as long as you can. As long as you do. And as time passes and if your love for me fades and you move onto someone else know that i wont be hurt, or offended..just treat whoever he is right, love him like you loved me.. like i love you...also know that i will come back.. i don't know how or when but i will, even if its just to be your friend... i just want you to be happy so don't let the 'what could be's' of me stop you from having a good life.

Conner woke slowly. "Damon?" He muttered looking around. He jumped up. "Damon!" He yelled. Seeing and reading the note, brought him to tears, and to his knees. "No, no, no, no!" He sprang up and ran outside, franticly looking for his love.
"Have you seen damon?" He asked many people, not stoping untill he reached the camp boarder line.
"Damon....no.." he whispered to himself.
He couldn't do it. What damon asked him to promise. He had to go. And was going to. He got up, and set back for his old home - the Athena cabin.
