Secret lengthened out his stride, taking care to watch her carefully. He saw the wire getting closer. He pushed himself a little more and came next to her, neck and neck.

Wonder streched her head out, all weariness forgotten. She could see the wire as they came closer and closer to it. Lengthening her stride, she started to move forward in front of Secret, not using up all her energy

With each of her lengthening strides, he lengthened too, watching the wire.
(Uh... There is a good chance for chestnut since Secret's a chestnut as well....)

Secretariat heaved himself to spring forward one last time as they crossed the wire. He slammed on the brakes.
Cloud lost his balance and fell off.
Secret trotted off a little and looked around for a second.
Cloud got up and grabbed Secret. He looked at Vlad and chuckled slightly.
Vlad chuckled softly asking Wonder to slow down.
(Vlad: Make Wonder slam on the brakes like Secret!
Cloud: looks like Secretariat! So cute!!!! Who will play him?)

Wonder crossed the wire and slammed on her brakes, making Vlad fall off. She whickered as she saw Vlad on the ground before cantering in circles farther away.
