Speaking from experience from having to deal with people on boards where I have worked as an Administrator... and no one take offense from my saying this (aka don't flame my statement or me), but...
...the majority of people who complain about the rules are actually those who break them on other web sites. 8 times out of 10, it is sadly true. The rules are fine -- as is. Changes or not, there is no way anyone can please the whining complainers. They will continue to complain until you see things their way.
The Administration and Moderation Staff do the very best that they can possibly do on a site like this and believe me... it isn't easy dealing with what they deal with. To the Mods, deep-sea diving or mining work would be far less painful or strenuous... after having dealt with ungrateful, complaining, members. The Mods should be praised for the work they do, but that rarely ever happens.
Anyway, carry on... Just had to say something constructive and supportive to the staff again.
