She looked him in the eye. "Kayne. I have a special favor to ask you." she paused for a moment, then continued. "If both me and Matilda are in trouble, together or not, please.please promise me you'll help her first. Even if it means you can't help me. Even if I die. She hasn't had the chance to live yet, and she should be able to. PLease."

Kayne looked her in the eye then looked away as he thought. "I dont want to lose you Serenity..." He said in a quiet voice. He closed his eyes and sighed heavily before he looked at her. "I promise. But i'll make sure you dont die. You still have a life and its not your time to go." He said touching her cheek gently.

She leaned into his hand. 'I don't mind dieing, but I'd rather go knowing my sister was safe." she said not denying tht it could happen.
