Alex sighed heavily as he muttered something under his breath. An image started to form in Mannah's mind.
A small boy that looked like a younger Alex was running with a smile on his face. Both of his eyes glowed a bright blue in the sunlight. He ran up to a normal sized house and jumped the fence easily. He quickly opened the door and ran inside. "Mom! Dad! Sissy! I'm home!" He said happily as he took off his shoes quickly and ran past a girl with brown hair like his.
"Watch it Alex!" The girl said giggling a little as she watched the boy run into his room. "Get ready for you birthday party! The new 10 year old doesn't want to be late for his party does he!" She yelled to him as she set a small box down.
"I'm hurrying Sissy!!" The younger Alex yelled to the girl. He dropped his backpack on the floor and grabbed a pair of shoes that weren't covered in mud. He quickly closed his door behind him and went over to his sister. "Hey Vivi. Why are we going to grandpas house this year for my party?" He asked looking at the girl.
"Not sure. Probably so he can spend sometime with his only grandson." Vivi said ruffling his hair. "Come on. Mom and Dad are already there." She said as she slipped her shoes on. "We are going to be late if we dont hurry slow poke." She said opening the door, her eyes a bright blue like his. Alex shook his head and quickly slipped his shoes on and ran out the house. Vivi went after him and closed the door quickly behind her. They ran down the street, Alex at a full sprint while Vivi looked like she was at a jog. They past a few houses until they got to a large house that was painted a grayish white. They went through the gate together at a walk, once they got to the front of the house a old man opened the door to the house. "Hello grandfather." Alex and Vivi said together.
"Come in my grandchildren!" The old man said smiling at them and let them. "Alex i have a surprise for you. I cant wait to show you." He said as he put a hand on Alex's back. They started walking to what looked like the dining room. Alex looked at his grandfather as they walked. "Really?! What is it?!" He said excitedly. But his look left as his grandfather pushed him in the room and closed the door behind him. "Gr- Grandfather?..." He said as he stood up and looked at the old man with curious and scared eyes. "Whats going on?" He said over the loud banging from the other side of the door.
"Well child." The grandfather said as he walked past Alex and grabbed his arm roughly. "i wanted to show you your parents. They aren't your real parents. They are the devil's creature. Your father, A ice Dragon. Your mother a Phoenix." He said as he tossed Alex to the wall. Alex hit the wall hard and slid to the floor. He coughed harshly and looked up to see his mother and father standing behind the grandfather. His father's eyes glowed a bright blue while his mother's glowed a bright red. "mom... Dad..." He said as he stood up slowly. "Whats going on..." His mother said nothing and glared at him. His father did the same but his glare was less harsh and he looked more sorry for what he was doing. "Attack." The grandfather said as he pointed to Alex. "And this time. Don't fool me about him being dead. He is a danger t our way of living." He said taking a few steps back behind Alex's parents.
Both parents disappeared and two large creatures took there place. A white dragon with gold out lining stood in his fathers place and a giant rubby colored bird stood in the place of the mother. The dragon had ice flowing around his scales and fire went around the bird. Alex pressed himself against wall and looked at his parents with scared eyes. "mom.... Dad..." He said in a soft, quiet, scared voice. Both creatures jumped forward and Alex yelled something that didn't sound like normal english or any language known. He stood there wide eyed as both creatures started to disappear. The dragon had extended his talen and scratched Alex's left eye deeply. The fire that the phoenix made went around Alex and quickly turned to red smoke and went into his eye that got scratched as the dragon turned into blue smoke went into his other eye. Alex screamed in pain and feel to the floor.
The grandfather walked over to Alex and kicked him so he could see Alex's bloody face. "I knew that witch got to my son... So your her son... Perfect..." He grined evilly.
Alex's eyes opened and he grabbed his grandfather's leg tightly. He muttered a spell and fire started to go around him and burning him quickly. But the fire didn't stop there, it ate everything in its path. Alex stood up and started walking through the fire with emotionless eyes. He opened the door of the large dining room and Vivi sat on the floor panting heavily.
"Alex!" Vivi yelled as she stood up quickly and hugged him tightly. She cried quietly, ignoring the growing fire. "Alex! Lets get out of here!" She said as she took his hand and quickly ran out of the house. Alex followed with the same emotionless look in his eyes, until they reached the out side of the house. "Vi... Vivian... Mom... And dad... Are..." He said with scared wide eyes.
Vivi nodded. "i knew what they where... its ok though Alex... its going to be ok..." She said as she knelt down next to her little brother and held him closely.
Alex tried to push her away. "No... Sissy... I killed them and grandpa... This is my fault..." He said shaking his head then put a hand on his bleeding eye. Vivi nodded and made Alex look at her. "Alexander Jacob Parker. This is not your fault. Its that old mans fault. You did the right thing by taking his life. If you didn't then i would have." She said looking at him sternly. She looked up as a fire truck had pulled up quickly with an ambulance and police cars. People started to rush by them quickly as it started to get blurry.'
